Marsh Lake Cross Country Skiing

Ski Trails

We have 20km of groomed ski trails spanning from either end of Judas Creek. These trails are maintained by volunteers throughout the winter, supported by Marsh Lake Community Society, and we ask that motorized vehicles stay off the groomed trails for the ski season.

Jackrabbits Program

Our Youth ski program runs from January to March.

We open registration for equipment (generously provided by Recreation Parks Association Yukon) in October, and registration for the program in December. Training is provided for volunteer coaches by Cross Country Yukon.

The program teaches children and youth ages 3-13 the basics of cross-country skiing, and wraps up with a graduation ceremony and an obstacle course in tandem with our Winter Carnival.

Marsh Lake Loppet

The Marsh Lake Loppet started as a passion project from a few motivated locals, and over the years turned into a massive Yukon wide event. After covid it wasn’t revived, but its history is a brilliant testament to the ingenuity and dedication of Marsh Lake residents.

Coming soon we will share some of the history and names of the memorable Marsh Lake Loppet.
